Maori Provider Development Scheme (MPDS)


Applications for the Māori Provider Development Scheme will open on 12 April 2010.

Funding under MPDS is available to three types of organisations: Regional, National and Disability Māori health providers.

To be eligible an organisation must:

  • be owned and governed by Māori, and providing health and disability services primarily but not exclusively to Māori
  • have a contract/s with the Ministry of Health and/or District Health Board (DHB) and/or Primary Health Care Organisation (PHO)
  • be in the process of developing a contract with the Ministry of Health and/or District Health Board (DHB) and/or Primary Health Care Organisation (PHO).

An application form will be available from the Ministry of Health website from the 12 April 2010.

Applications close 28 May 2010.
