Summary of publication
This research aims to examine the contribution of rongoā Māori to indigenous wellbeing, and to identify issues for the ongoing sustainability of traditional Māori healing in New Zealand.
The research was funded by Te Kete Hauora and undertaken by the Institute of Environmental Science and Research Ltd.
Methods included two literature reviews, healer focus groups and stakeholder workshops. For a synopsis of the issues examined in this research there is also a summary report available.
